Final Fantasy XIII-2: Single Segment in 4:56:59 -Part 3/3-

Here is the last part of my run. In the fight with Caius with just Serah, it looked as though I died at the last second but I ended up winning! Not sure what happened there but I'll take it. All the fights up to the last dungeon went pretty smoothly, but I decided that Orion wasn't going to cut it as my Commando and I took a quick detour to Archylte Steppe to grab Chichu after getting the Fragment Skills from Serendipity before attempting the final dungeon.

Here is part 2 of the run, which is split into three parts due to Justin.tv limiting highlights to two hour videos. The Caius fight in Oerba wasn't much of an issue after I completed the other story areas first. In Academia -400 AF- I went out of my way to recruit a Koboldroid Yin as my new Ravager, I luckily recruited one in the second fight I had with them. I was hoping to recruit a Dragoon in Augusta Tower -200 AF- but only got an Orion instead.

This is my single segment run of FF XIII-2 where I reached my goal of finishing in under five hours. I didn't use the retry option to escape battles, I only chose that if I got a game over because it put more emphasis on avoiding encounters (which I find to be more fun).

In Augusta Tower -200 AF-, I was lucky enough to recruit a Flanitor (Flan-o-War) which is a great Medic due to its Feral Link, Hyper Recovery, which restores HP to the entire party. Before the final boss, I needed to make sure that I level him up enough to have more HP than Serah and Noel so that he could survive the Flares from the final boss. I died to Caius two times while fighting, but fought Jet Bahamut pretty well afterwards!

By fighting Faeryl and the weakened Mutantomato before taking the upper route in the timeline, I earned enough CP to make the Caius at Oerba -200 AF- fight a lot more manageable, though Faeryl was still tough. I made a pretty stupid mistake by unlocking Serah's Synergist role instead of her Saboteur role at a Crystarium Expansion, but I was able to still unlock Saboteur for her before the Caius fight. That mistake didn't hurt me as much as I thought it could potentially.

I played through all of the main game of FF XIII-2 in one sitting and got a final playtime of 5:36:58, which I am quite pleased with. Justin.tv splits archives into new videos after two hours, so there are three separate highlights. I had some bad luck in the beginning as no monsters besides the starting two joined me in Bresha Ruins, which ended up making the Mutantomato fight harder than I was used to.

There were lots of zombies to kill with a pipe box we found, then DL hits the hunter midair with a pipe and it kinda pushes the hunter back midair!
Castlevania 2 in 52 minutes (part 2 of 2)

Here's the end of the run due to Justin.tv splitting videos into separate parts after two hours of recording. I included the ending so the video time is a little over 52 minutes, but I beat Drac by 52 minutes from when I started.

Here's my run of Castlevania 2 in which I beat the game in 52 minutes. I practiced this route a bit before going through successfully; first I go to mansion 2 and then to mansion 1 with the leather whip, and then skip straight to purchasing the morning star. Getting to the morning star with enough hearts proved to be challenging, but this time I made it there with exactly 200 hearts. Also I had some timely level ups in order to preserve my heart count.
